To most, being called hollow is an insult, but to the Sea's biggest beasts, that actually comes as a compliment. With a body comprised of completely empty segments, they allow for soundwaves to travel at completely unheard of frequencies. While they usually prefer making music verbally, oftentimes they choose to have their segments reverberate to create their own sound. While they aren't exactly a boss like many other Back Side quads are, the Umuguy provide plenty of power to prove themselves worthy of that status.
