audrey belle rosewood~ i walk out of the room, my head spinning with all of the details. i would leave. leave the castle... only because of a mission. still, i was leaving. i meandered over to a window to stare out at the landscape. the mountains were painted pink and gold by the fading sunlight, and the flower fields glimmered in the light. it was all so beautiful, it couldn't have been real. a light tap on my shoulder shakes me out of my thoughts. i spin around to see the prince standing behind me, a small smirk on his face. i immediately drop into a curtsy. "your highness," i say in greeting. my gaze wanders over to the girl that hovers behind him, who looks slightly annoyed- or perhaps jealous. she's also been tasked to travel with me- and the prince, oliver. Oliver chuckles a little. "no need for formalities," he replies quietly. the girl behind him clears her throat. "i'm adelaine. adelaine caddel." she flashes a smile, though she seems a bit distracted and keeps studying me. i smile back in return. "right. i'm audrey. we're traveling together." i phrase it as a statement, rather than a question. adelaine nods. "we should get ready soon." oliver, who has been watching me, agrees. "meet you guys near the front of the palace in an hour?" adelaine and i share a glance, then nod in unison. as soon as oliver turns around and disappears from sight, she turns to me, grinning playfully. "ready to get out of here?" a/n:: i'll be honest i kinda rushed this but i like it- also sry it's so short, i sorta ran out of ideas for the chapter collab with the wonderful and talented lyss <333
