• ┈ • ┈ • ┈ • ୨୧ • ┈ • ┈ • ┈ • Charlotte the mouse was inside her treehouse, making some sort of herbal soup with poppy seeds when all of a sudden she heard a quiet creak. She froze, scared that it could be a cat or fox whom made the noise. Cats and foxes ate mice, and recently the population of mice in the area had gone down, as a family had moved to an area nearby whom owned 3 outdoor cats. Charlotte quietly turned around to see who had made the noise. She now fully expected it to be a cat or fox, and expected the worst to happen. But when she looked at the branch that had creaked and made the noise, there wasn’t a cat nor a fox there - it was only her friend, Millie the mouse! “Good evening Charlotte!” Millie said cheerfully, hanging from the branch upside down. “Millie… you gave me a fright!” Charlotte replied in relief. “I thought you were a cat or fox who had come to eat me!”. Millie laughed. “Oh Charlotte, you’re so sensitive! You always think the same thing every single evening when I arrive, even though I come here at the exact same time every single day!”. Charlotte rolled her eyes. “You very well know that cats are good tree climbers, and foxes are well able to climb trees too!” she whimpered fearfully. “Now, changing the subject - stop hanging from the branch like that! It’s bound to break any moment and you’ll hurt yourself, not to mention that you’re upside down so you’ll hurt your head!”. Just as Charlotte said that, the branch gave a loud creak. Millie laughed. “It’s fine, really! This branch is VERY strong, it would never-“. Just before Millie could finish her sentence, the branch snapped and she fell to the ground, only to land on a soft bit of moss. Charlotte and Millie both started laughing. After they had finished, Charlotte smirked. “Told ya” she said. Millie just sighed in defeat, getting up from the ground and brushing the rest of the moss off. • ┈ • ┈ • ┈ • ୨୧ • ┈ • ┈ • ┈ •

The 10th palette really stuck out to me, as it reminded me of a pretty sunset, so I decided to choose to draw a picture using that palette! :3 Above I also wrote a short little story based on the image. The mouse on the left is Millie and the mouse on the right is Charlotte!
