Instructions

(Everything here is WIP and subject to change!) CLEARANCE LEVEL: Level 4 ITEM #: SCP-3599 OBJECT CLASS: Keter DISRUPTION CLASS: Keneq RISK CLASS: Caution Containment: SCP-3599 is to be contained within a soundproofed, house-like containment unit measuring 15m x 15m x 5m, furnished with age-appropriate amenities and entertainment, pending review by on-site psychologists. Any mention of parental figures is strictly prohibited during interaction with SCP-3599. Level 4 clearance is required for all direct interaction. Continuous audio and visual monitoring is mandatory, with feeds reviewed bi-weekly by approved on-site psychologists for changes in affect, language, and demeanor. Description: SCP-3599, occasionally referred to as "The Singing Girl" but prefers the names Lilith or Lily, appears to be a 13 to 15-year-old girl, though her actual age is indeterminate. She typically wears a grey sweater, grey skirt, striped socks, and sneakers, and has a band-aid on her nose and long brown hair. Though her eyes are constantly closed, she retains the ability to see. SCP-3599 possesses the anomalous ability to cause various temporary anomalies through singing or instrument playing, ranging from object summoning to severe psychological distress. SCP-3599 displays interest in music and instruments. It is theorized that SCP-3599 may be neurodivergent, potentially Autism Spectrum Disorder, but the diagnosis is still unclear. Recovery: SCP-3599 was recovered from a suburban home in ██████████, ██████████, following reports of localized reality alterations in the area. Foundation personnel responded to the scene after the manifestation of multiple anomalous objects. SCP-3599 was located inside the residence, singing quietly. Upon initial contact, SCP-3599 displayed distress but cooperated with Foundation agents after being assured of her safety. Amnestics were administered to civilian witnesses, and cover story 12-Epsilon (localized gas leak) was disseminated. The acquired anomalous objects were cataloged and secured at the main site. Incidents: Incident 3599-Alpha: Subject experienced a severe mental breakdown upon mention of parental figures, transforming into an unobserved wendigo/angel-like entity with crystalline features, vaguely resembling SCP-3599. Subject caused ██ casualties. Her eyes opened, revealing unnatural blue irises similar in color to the crystalline structures manifested during transformation. Incident 3599-Beta: Subject was instructed to draw herself with her parents. The resulting drawing depicted subject normally, while her parents resembled variants of her transformed state. Analysis of the artwork is ongoing. Testing: Testing of SCP-3599 is currently restricted to non-invasive procedures due to Incident 3599-Alpha. Approved tests involve observation of SCP-3599's reactions to various stimuli, including music, art supplies, and literature. Any testing involving parental figures or traumatic subjects requires explicit approval from the Ethics Committee and on-site psychological evaluation of both SCP-3599 and involved personnel. All tests must be immediately halted if SCP-3599 exhibits signs of distress or anomalous activity. Data from approved tests is to be logged and analyzed for patterns in SCP-3599's abilities. Interviews: Interview 3599-1: Date: 2024-07-15 Interviewer: Dr. Emily Carter Subject: SCP-3599 Purpose: Initial assessment of psychological state and anomalous capabilities. Dr. Carter: Good morning, SCP-3599. How are you feeling today? SCP-3599: (shrugs) Okay, I guess. Can I have a piano? Dr. Carter: We can discuss that later. First, can you tell me about your abilities? SCP-3599: I can sing, play instruments, and make stuff happen. But I don't always mean to. (The log appears to end here..) Personnel: All personnel assigned to SCP-3599 must possess Level 4 security clearance and undergo mandatory psychological evaluations. A minimum of one (1) on-site psychologist specializing in child psychology and trauma is required. The containment team should consist of at least four (4) security personnel trained in de-escalation tactics. At least two (2) personnel fluent in music theory and possessing experience with musical instruments should be available for research and interaction purposes. Regular rotation of personnel is recommended to mitigate potential psychological distress and maintain objectivity. Media: Media associated with SCP-3599 includes audio recordings of her singing, which are to be stored securely and analyzed for anomalous effects. Visual recordings of Incident 3599-Alpha are classified Level 4 and require psychological review before access. The drawing produced during Incident 3599-Beta is to be preserved and analyzed for further insight into SCP-3599's mental state and anomalous properties. Any new media involving SCP-3599 must be immediately cataloged and reviewed by relevant personnel

Description

Addenda: Addendum 3599-1: Following Incident 3599-Alpha, psychological evaluations are to be conducted bi-weekly. Exploration of music therapy is authorized to mitigate distress Addendum 3599-2: All personnel interacting with SCP-3599 must undergo mandatory psychological screening for parental loss or trauma. Any staff displaying vulnerability are to be reassigned. Addendum 3599-3: Request for reality anchoring devices within the containment unit is pending approval due to potential Keneq-class implications. Further observation of crystalline manifestation origin is prioritized. Research: Research into SCP-3599 focuses on understanding the mechanisms behind its anomalous abilities and potential triggers for uncontrolled manifestations. Current research efforts are directed towards identifying specific acoustic frequencies or musical patterns that may amplify or suppress SCP-3599's powers. Psychological evaluations are ongoing to determine the root cause of Incident 3599-Alpha and the significance of SCP-3599's reaction to parental figures. Further research will explore the composition and properties of the crystalline structures observed during transformations. Analysis: Analysis of SCP-3599 indicates a potential connection between her psychological state and the manifestation of anomalous effects. Incident 3599-Alpha suggests that the mention of parental figures triggers a violent transformation, resulting in significant casualties. This transformation appears to be involuntary. Incident 3599-Beta further implies a distorted perception of her parents, represented as monstrous figures akin to her transformed state. Further research is required to understand the precise mechanisms behind these transformations and the extent of SCP-3599's control over them, as well as the nature of the crystalline structures observed during Incident 3599-Alpha.
