This is Serial Designation Z, or Zed. I refer to xem as Z, but you’ll see why they use Zed. Z is a Disassembly Drone, sent in a different group of DDs to a different area than N, J, and V were sent. Z was also a worker drone like those three, whose personality was cloned into the DDs like them, except Z kept their memories. Z, upon learning that xeir mission is to kill the things that they technically once were, is like “hah nope not gonna” and ran from their squad in the direction of a couple stray workers. For a little bit, Z hid outside of the worker’s hiding place, looking to disguise themselves. Z found a stray can of spray paint to color their hair to not be the classic DD white, used a piece of cloth to cover the lights on xeir head, removed xeir tail, and scavenged some spare clothes from workers who were.. already out of commission. Z introduced themselves as the cleverly named Zed as to not raise suspicion that their name is just one letter. Z is unfortunately still mechanically a DD, and has to, rather unwillingly, dispose of the occasional worker to keep xemselves cool. They do their best to only drink oil from cans though. And thankfully, no one ever notices the yellow and black trimming on their feet and wrists.
