| ☆ a r i e s ☆ | (She/xe) Aries grew up on the outer circle of the Kingdom of Flame with her parents, Astra and Cecilia. The three of them lived in a run-down house in the worst place of the Kingdom, also called the Slums. When Aries was 9 years old, she went into her house and found her kitchen smeared with blood. It wasn't a pretty sight (duh). Aries found her mother Cecilia huddled in a ball on the floor, broken glass in her arm. 'Are you ok?' Aries asked. Her mother scowled as if to say 'Do I look ok?' She didn't. Aries phoned an ambulance, and after 6 stressful hours with Astrid at her side, every last shard of glass had been removed. This was just one of the perks of growing up in the Slums. Resilience. These encounters were not unheard of, but they were never fun. Why do you think the Slums has the best doctors? 5 years later, Aries went to the Gathering of Nobles. She didn't know why. Aries went with her friend, Celeste, and they saw the whole thing. Aries was watching one person in particular, though. Taurus, with her stoic demeanor and quiet yet thunderous voice caught Aries's blood red eyes, and so Aries watched. She watched Taurus meet someone else with strange hair and spunky clothes. She watched as they talked and laughed. And then she turned around to her home. | ☆ t a u r u s ☆ | (They/she) When Taurus was born, everyone knew she would be a Star Child. From the way her mother's bump would glow like a nightlight to the day of her birth when the Heavens opened up and showered the Earth in Starlight. But her mother knew something. Something that every Starmother has known. Her daughter would spend her whole life taking nutrients and bits of soul, and on the day of her 14th birthday, the Starmother knew she would be no more. So, Taurus had a wonderful life; shielded from harm and cared for so dearly, with her every desire as close to satisfied as possible. But then her 14th birthday came. Taurus had carefully planned it, said it would be a mother-daughter day. But when she woke to the news her mother had died, she went numb. She was numb on the day she Ascended and became in charge of the Kingdom of Earth along with the other new nobles. She was silent at every council. Until one day at the annual Gathering of Nobles, she met . . . Gemini. Gemini was free spirited and kind, and was able to bring Taurus out of her shell. They met together day after day, and Taurus finally developed her sense of personality, which could only be described in 6 1/2 words - steady-hearted with a touch of laughter. Her rulership became light-hearted and open, and she knew - just /knew/ - that this was the blessing of her mother. That she had found her peace. | ☆ g e m i n i ☆ | (She/they/xe/fae) Gemini . . . was not normal. She never was. She was born half blind, so that didn't add anything normal to her appearance. She attended every Gathering of Nobles the second she got the chance, and one day someone new caught her eye. She was announced as Taurus of the Kingdom of Earth. At the break, Gemini got up to introduce her self. Taurus was silent. But Gemini was persistent. And little by little, Taurus started coming out of her shell. Taurus was talking with Gemini! But then the meeting resumed, and their conversation was put on hold. Gemini couldn't wait until the next Gathering, but when it came around, Taurus was nowhere to be seen. Same for the next. And the next. And the next. Gemini had almost given up hope. But then, on the last Gathering of the year, there she was. And she was running towards Gemini! 'Gemy!' Taurus said, her voice brimming with excitement. 'Hey Taur!' Gemini said. She could barely contain her own excitement. They kept tripping over each others words, and yes. It was adorable. /They/ were adorable. And they stayed adorable, side by side, for the many years to come.
