Vortex, in 1979, won a contract for "Next Fast Interceptor", to provide fifty Valences for the police force; however, only two were delivered, being renamed X101 and X102 respectively. Most prominently, they were used in the 1986 protests and the 2009-11 Civil War. The two cars were retired in 2022, to be replaced by Vortex Zenith GTs (the X103-class). Currently, X101 is in storage, while X102 is in private use.
