The Askari Army operates in a variety of conditions on account of the fluctuating weather in the country. Far west Askaria contains valuable rubber and is the second least developed part of the country. In the east, the desert is the 'cash cow'. The central steppe is responsible for the vast majority of domestic food production. The military strategy varies across these climates. For example, the western part has considerably less tanks than the desert force. Western Askaria is very reliant on its own national guard due to the fact that the Federal Army troops usually suffer from jungle conditions there. The Askaris have a skilled ability to inflict far larger casualties on the enemy with a smaller force. Naturally though, the most desrtructive toll of war on Askaria is the economic one. Askaria has a weak navy, and a blockade could easily starve the country if land trading deteriorates. The Askari State has common conscription as well. About 50% of the population (men and women) have served in the military at some point or another. Askaris usually don't surrender unless wounded, and surrender is often frowned upon. THe 20mm high-velocity cannon on their tankettes is good enough to pierce the front armor of most contemporary tanks. The A35 can tow vehichles, planes, plow snow, and most other utilitarian purposes. Additionally, Askaria has something very unique: semi-automatic rifles. These A32s are issued to NCOs and officers (1 in 10 troops) as a choice between it and the M28 SMG.
