This is strange I couldn’t sleep last night I kept waking up Getting sleep paralysis And small realistic nightmares Like my watch calling me at midnight exactly I had my watch in my hand And it started ringing. I put my hand over the edge of my bed And I told myself "Don't answer, don't answer, don't answer," Until I woke up In the exact position That I was in In my nightmare It may be because I went to bed early Because I'm too used to staying up late. It reminds me of a few weeks ago I had a different nightmare And I could be making this up But my mind played a trick on me And I could hear music from my own mind And then my vent sparked. I thought my house would light on fire And I would burn So I told myself "wake up, wake up, wake up," Until I woke up. Nightmares Sleep paralysis Not a good combination. And the fact that I thought I slept well But woke up tired It's just annoying Because I'm just trying to sleep But my body and brain tell me it's too early Because of my terrible habit Of procrastinating my own sleep.
