Backstory in the description helloooo I redesigned Dex a lil (i just gave him eyes lol) so i wanted to do smth with him im also probably gonna do something with redesigned twig as well lol anyways i changed his backstory a bit so it kida makes sense? i dunno the dud is just strange TW!!!!!! Parental Abuse, Bullying, Death, Fire ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ backstory: Dex is a moth person (i haven't officially named the species yet lol) and moth people's culture is basically just rude victorian people. their downfall was inevitable but it was ensured when Dex came along. Dexios was born to a very high-ranking government couple who DID NOT want a son. so much so that they purposefully neglected him and his older brother, Kolton. Dexios's parent hated both their children, but dexios was an oddball and had a waird fanged smile. so they hated him more because he was different which resulted in him being beat frequently. Dexios's older brother hated him too because he went by his parent's example. So Dexios had to learn to fend for himself at a young age. By the time he was old enough to go to school, he was immediately singled out by bullies. Dexios developed a weird mental thing where he thought that being hit and beat and slandered all the time meant people liked him. so he thought his bullies were his friends, he also developed a crush on his main bully, Theo. He smiled all the time because he thought he was the coolest person because so many people picked on him, and he also became obsessed with his crush on Theo. Homosexuality was very very frowned apon by all moth folk, but Dexios didn't care at all. He followed his own rules, and by the time he was a teenager he had grown independent from society, rules didn't matter to him, getting beat didn't matter to him. in fact he had learned to punch back because he thought it was a way to show affection to someone. he was real messed up, and he sometimes beat people within an inch of their life. One day, when he was 17, he decided to confess his love to Theo, who obvioslly rejected and called him a lot of not cool things. Dexios took those words to heart and accidentally lit the moth colony on fire by bumping into one of the moth people's artificial lanterns (so they wouldnt be drawn to it like moths are drawn to lamps.) Since moths are drawn to light, the entire moth colony died because they all flew into the fire, Dexios tried to save theo from the fire but was pushed away and was forced to watch as his love was engulfed in flames. The flames didn't effect Dexios because he had been born with a condition that made him blind to light. and also gave him pointy teefs for some reason lol. but after that, Dexios left the colony.
