Rouge sat Shadow down on a bed in one of the clinics. "Stay." She turned to Omega. "Make sure he stays." "Yes, Rouge." Omega stood firmly. Shadow stood up. "But Rouge--" "Ah, ah, ah! No but's! You have memory loss again." Rouge let out a disapproving sigh. "It will come back. I'm fine." Shadow huffed and shook his head. "I can't believe how much you're overreacting." "Can't believe how much I'M overreacting?" Rouge put her hands on her hips. "You need to get over your fear of doctors. This is getting ridiculous!" "Please, Rouge. Don't make me do this." Shadow looked at her with pleading eyes. "Ugh." Rouge frowned. "Don't look at me like that. You need to be looked at." She swiftly left the room. "But--" Just as Shadow started, the doctor walked in. "Hello, uh... Shadow, right? My name is Dr. Bree, and I will be your doctor today." She smiled sweetly at him, which only gave him the chills. "I'm sorry, but I really don't have to be here. There's been a mix up." Shadow got up and walked towards the door. "Thanks, but I have to be somewhere else." "You will not get through me." Omega blocked Shadow from leaving. "Tell me," The doctor continued, "What did you do six hours ago?" "I went on a mission with Rouge and Omega in a forest. Now can I go?" Shadow followed his statement by trying pushing Omega away from the door. It didn't work. "And this mission was to...?" Dr. Bree wrote something on a clipboard. Shadow grunted. "None of your business." He had resorted to standing awkwardly next to Omega, just in case. "Actually, I have permission from Commander Tower to ask you questions." The doctor continued to write notes down. "Since you seem to be avoiding my question, may I assume you remember little to nothing of your activities at 11:00 this morning?" Shadow paused, surprised on how much she knew and threw at him. "I... uh..." Dr. Bree marked her paper one last time. "I'll give you a medication in a minute. A nurse will come in and wrap that wound back up again. Thanks for waiting." She gave him a side eye and left the room. "Ughhhh, I'm going to get revenge on that bat one day..." Shadow sat on the bed. "Omega? What actually did happen before?" Omega adjusted his head to face Shadow. "We went on a mission to defeat Eggman base and get information. You got it but passed out at approximately 11:00 pm." Shadow let that settle for a bit. "So, if I don't remember what happened, that whole mission was for nothing." He sighed with frustration. "I don't even know why I passed out. Maybe stress...? Doesn't matter now. All that matters is that Team Dark got the information Commander Tower wanted but then lost it thanks to my inconvenience. A nurse knocked and came in the room. "Sorry for interrupting, but I have the medication. Take one of these pills once a day." She started wrapping around Shadow's chest with a new bandage. "If you can, talking to anyone that was there with you in the forest, and it might trigger some memories for you." She finished treating him and stepped back, giving him the small bottle. "Thanks..." Shadow took the pill bottle. "I'll just go now..." He quickly left to go to his room. The room looked the same as it had before, but with one exception. There was a note on the bed from Rouge. He gently picked it up and read it: "Meet me in the training room later. I want to talk to you." Shadow sighed and lay down on the bed. He held up the pill bottle but put it down on the bedside table after a few minutes. "I can't believe this is happening again." He turned over and got up.
