Dovestorm's POV: ════════════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════════════ Dovestorm slid out his claws. He was on border patrol, and they had just caught a PondClan patrol on their territory. Bugclaw was leading the patrol, along with Springpaw, Cowtail, and Goldenpaw. Dovestorm was on patrol with Honeypaw, Butterflywhisker, and Nightclaw. "Get off our territory!" Butterflywhisker hissed. Graybird shook his head. "Never!" Springpaw was holding a dead rabbit caught on BreezeClan territory. She hid behind Goldenpaw. Goldenpaw slid out his claws. "Springpaw, go take the rabbit to camp and bring reinforcements." Bugclaw yowled over he shoulder. Springpaw nodded and ran, she tripped on the rabbit a couple times, but she managed to run. "Attack!" Butterflywhisker yowled. Dovestorm sprung into action. Bugclaw's patrol was out-numbered for now, so Dovestorm gave it his best shot. He leaped on top of Bugclaw. She yowled in pain and slid out her claws while she struck a blow at his ear. Dovestorm hissed in pain and grabbed her scruff and shook her violently. Butterflywhisker gave Cowtail a strong blow near her neck. Springpaw came running with reinforcements. Butterflywhisker growled and turned to Honeypaw. "Hurry up and bring some more warriors." She snapped. Honeypaw nodded and hurried off. Dovestorm came face to face with Bugclaw. Bugclaw hissed and hooked her claw onto Dovestorm's ear. Dovestorm yowled in pain. He heard a yowl. "Don't hurt my mate!" Dovestorm turned around. He saw Leafheart hurrying down the clearing, with Honeypaw, Ravenstar, and Marshstorm following. The battle raged on until PondClan was surrendered. "This isn't over!" Bugclaw spat. She ran off. Dovestorm breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh no..." Leafheart breathed. Dovestorm turned around. Marshstorm let out a yowl of despair. "No..." Dovestormed breathed. Nightclaw shook her head while Honeypaw gasped. There, laying before them, was Ravenstar's dead body covered in blood. His breathing was quiet. Marshstorm wailed. "No! Not Ravenstar!" Marshstorm let out a wail. "We must return to camp at once." Dovestorm mewed. Marshstorm, Dovestorm, and Butterflywhisker carried Ravenstar's dead body back to camp. They were greeted by Scratchkit and Black-kit. The two were not littermates, but they sure acted like one. "Did you win the battle?" Black-kit squeaked. Robinsong quickly got up from her spot near the nursery. "Come on kits." She picked up Scratchkit by his scruff. "Hey! Let go of me mama..." Black-kit rushed after Robinsong. "What happened Robinsong?" Dovestorm, Marshstorm, and Butterflywhisker brought Ravenstar's body to the clearing. Amberheart rushed to Ravenstar's side. "What happened?" She mewed. "Ravenstar was killed in battle..." Marshstorm said. "Those fox-hearts were stealing our prey!" Butterflywhisker snapped. Leafheart stepped forward. "He died bravely, protecting his clan." She mewed. Marshstorm leaped up on high rock, while other clan members emerged from their dens. "Warriors of BreezeClan, Ravenstar was struck down during a battle. He died bravely, trying to protect his clan. Tonight, we will sit vigil for Ravenstar, and tomorrow night, me and Amberheart will travel to the moonpool to receive my nine lives." Marshstorm mewed. "From then own, I will be known as Marshstar." Amberheart's POV ════════════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════════════ Amberheart bundled up the herbs in a leaf, she was preparing to go on the journey to the moon pool. Amberheart ears flickered. She turned around to see Marshstorm standing there. "Are you ready to go?" He mewed. Amberheart nodded and pushed a bundle of herbs to him. "Here, take this." Amberheart said. Marshstorm ate the herbs, while Amberheart watched him. They padded out the camp. It was a day after Ravenstorm's vigil, and Marshstorm was about to get his nine lives. The padded out of camp. "Wait!" Black-kit bounded after them. "I wanna see StarClan!" Amberheart purred. Black-kits mother had died while giving birth to her kits. "I know, and you will, but me and Marshstorm need to hurry and get back." Black-kit slumped. "When you get back, can you tell me about my mama?" Black-kit mewed. Amberheart nodded. "I promise little kit." Amberheart watched as Marshstorm touched his eyes to the moon pool. As well as Amberheart. She felt her nose touch the cold icy water. She blinked her eyes open. "Ravenstar? Is that you?" Amberheart mewed. Ravenstar nodded. "I have come to warn you, Amberheart." He took a step forward. "Beware of the cat of honey Beware of the murder beneath your paws Beware of the two kits who shouldn't be here Beware of the she-cat who wishes she were someone else Beware of cat who will sacrifice herself for kits whom are not her own Someone is coming to shake the clans Someone is coming to kill him off Someone is going to rule the dark forest Unless the triangle can become non-existent." Ravenstar said. Amberheart's eyes widened. "W-w-what?"
