my new (and first ever) budgie, kai. i've been wanting a bird for more than 2 years now, and i have been active in the birders community (though less in the past year) except i didn't own a bird :') i bought the cage a while ago, it's pretty big but not shown entirely on the pictures. yes, i am aware he needs different, more natural perches, but i did not have time to buy them and i will buy them later. he really likes lettuce, apples and pears :D i bought him in early january, and he was 8 months (or so said) when i got him. i wanted to get a younger budgie, but couldn't find any. he is very talkative, isn't afraid of loud noises, likes singing along to music. he eats lettuce from my hand sometimes, but isn't really tamed yet. he is not scared of my dog at all :D i wanted to name him fedya or kolya but i ended up with the name kai.
