The French soldiers had reached the outskirts of the capital of Belgium. The staggering lines of the French quickly push the Belgian lines inwards, biting chunks out of their ranks with volley fire. The outskirts turned into within the city, and within the city became the heart of Brussels. Eventually, the Belgians retreated, abandoning Brussels, realizing that the situation was utterly doomed.
