"A wretched, feral being formed in an underground operation at MIT involving a modified human corpse (At least that's what can be assumed.) and a large amount of Physarum polycephalum (A type of mold) in an attempt to make a living mascot for the Scratch website. Not much info has been released, as most of the documents relating to the operation have been either confiscated or destroyed entirely, everyone involved in the operation was swiftly kicked from MIT. Meld itself is simply a corpse being covered and shoddily reanimated by the aforementioned mold, it's single goal is to sustain itself for as long as possible, finding meat, mainly human, to replace parts of its body which are unfavorable."
