(use chatgpt to summarize if you need to, i dont care): A FEW GENERAL GUIDELINES/RULES (REQUIRED READING): -Be creative!: Try not to just recreate an already existing historical country or blatantly re-use a country from a previous roleplay. Dissension is meant to be much more creatively free than most other RPs, so don't be afraid to go for something a bit out there! (If you just re-make Germany like I've seen COUNTLESS people try before, I probably won't canonize you until you change it up a bit). -Suspension of Disbelief: Dissension, as mentioned before, is meant to give its members a bit more creative freedom in terms of what their country can be, what tech they can use, and who their nation's people are, but keep in mind this takes place during the INTERWAR period. Try to keep any tech or innovations feasible for the time, and if you aren't sure about whether something will be allowed, just ask me! This also applies to nation and military size; No, you do NOT get to have half an entire continent without some REALLY good written lore explaining why. Which leads me to... -LORE!: Because Dissension takes place in a fully fictional world, you can make your nation almost ANYTHING you want it to be (of course, within the rules stated above or by me). But, do keep in mind that this is really both a mil-sim and narrative writing project. If you're not comfortable with a more narrative focus, I still encourage you to try it out for a while and see how it goes. And so, PLEASE try to put in some proper thought and care when making your nation's history - We only have 1,000 or so years of history to work with in this universe, it really shouldn't be too hard. THE SUBMISSION SHEET HAS A SECOND PAGE FOR DEEPER NATION LORE, PLEASE FILL THAT OUT AS WELL. YOU WILL BE MORE LIKELY TO BE CANONIZED IF YOU DO. -QUALITY CONTROL: Unfinished signup sheets, or ones missing key details, will automatically be rejected. I only really ask four things of you when signing up, please don't post yours if you can't do it. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO THE EXPANDED LORE SECTION. Alongside this, please try to put some decent effort into your submission, as well as any further projects you post in or relating to Dissension. I IMPLORE you to learn how to vector if you don't already, as bitmap images will not be allowed for use as assets. If you really need help, there will most likely be people already familiar with Scratch's vectoring tools who can help you out. I also plan on releasing a person/species template for people to use, so look out for that when it releases. -CUSTOM SPECIES: Humans are not the only people to inherit the world of Palthar. I may give a few base species for people to use if they'd like, but I really encourage you to come up with your own. However, if your submission contains a custom species or you want to add one later once the RP starts, run it by me first. I'll soon post a template for species submissions, so if your nation is made up of non-humans, please turn that in as well. For right now, though, you should be okay. Lastly, keep in mind that if your submission is rejectedm it probably isn't the end for you. The application process is meant to be iterative. This means that from your first submission, a good bit of it is going to be encouraged to be refined by me: This will probably be done in the form of notes and critiques in my comment on your remix telling you if it's accepted or not. If you are rejected, make ANOTHER remix of this project instead of just editing the existing one, I want to be able to see any changes made between revisions. Don't worry, I know it sounds tedious, but it should only really take about 3-4 rounds of resubmitting before being added. It'll take about a day or maybe two at most to know if you're added after all the resubmitting, about as long as most other RPs.
