"Through this toilsome world, alas! Once and only once I pass; If a kindness I may show, If a good deed may I do, To a suffering fellow man, Let me do it while I can. No delay, for it is plain I shall not pass this way again." - Anonymous This poem is so beautiful.... And it reminds me of something I try to do each and every day. To stop suffering and pain, and to show kindness, grace, and mercy. I know I don't do an AMAZING job at it all the gosh darn time, but I do know that when I try my best, the outcome can be amazing. But this poem also reminds me of life itself, and who we as humans try to be. We try to be kind, and merciful and graceful (Not graceful as in "She's such a graceful dancer!", but rather graceful as in giving grace. Giving when one does not deserve.) even when though it's hard. And when it does become hard, one of our first instincts might be to give up, or to walk away. And even though that may work for a little bit, it's not gonna help in the long run. I'm getting off topic. XD My point is (If you could get it from my jumble of words up there. o3o) that we should follow our hearts, and listen to them. If we hear a calling in us that we are to help that old person across the street, or that poor homeless girl in the ally way, then try. You may not get another chance. (For those of you who are still technically "Minors" (Including myself), do check with your parents or guardians first for your own safety. And so your less likely to get grounded.)
