Why he's chained up: Once a long time ago he and the other Enchanters worked together, but one day he got infected and started causing chaos everywhere. So the other Enchanters used one of the most powerful spells and chained him up, he couldn't escape, unless someone brings the 10 enchanted crystals around, then the chains get weak and whoever is in the chains, can break out.
