[ tw: blood, violence etc ] /please/ do not read if you are uncomfortable with such things! he could have never figured that this day would have come this soon. it certainly didn't come the way tiger thought it would of. manic eyes stared back at him, the hue of a vibrant sunset. well, without the sun. there was no light within them. they were simply... dull. tiger wasn't used to seeing such eyes this way. it made her stomach writhe with discomfort. a pool of blood lay at her paws. its crimson greatly contrasted the soft bundle of sky hued fur that lay in the pool's centre. tiger's stormy blue hues fixated themselves on the wicked smile that split the sky blue feline's face in two. a shudder ran through claw. this could not be happening. this could /not/ be happening! ... but it was happening. even though she didn't want it too. tiger could feel claws smile slipping; hysteric noises began to slither through his smiling teeth. tears burst from his eyes. frantically, the tom would look around at the other faces alongside him. they couldn't see her like this. fear instinctively drove her paws forwards, sending stray glass and excess blood flying across the tile floors. claw had to get out. cries arose from the behind tiger. she didn't bother to listen. adrenaline surged through her body, urging her to go faster and faster. the world blurred around tiger as tears glazed his vision. regardless, he just kept running. and running and running. claw /had/ to keep running. well, until she could run no more. adrenaline wore off eventually. tiger's legs buckled beneath him. he fell forwards, tumbling down a bank and landing on a bed of cold river stones. one would usually spring to their paws after this. ... but not tiger. he just lay there, unmoving and staring at his own bloodied paws. then, claw just proceeded to cry. loud sobs came from his jaws as set his crown to the earth. he was dead. bossman was dead. ... his /dad/ was dead. that hit her. a loud wail sounded from her maw, and tiger's eyes began to further tear up. bossman wouldn't want this. tiger needed to /smile/. this was why he couldn't be loved. there was something wrong with her. /this/ was it. tiger brought on a shakey smile, forcing claws eyes to pinch at the edges. she just couldn't. it fell almost instantly, more tears spilling from claws eyes. a river flowed down tiger's cheeks, splattering on the ground beneath her. "you're useless. USELESS." she barked out, slashing her own reflection with unsheathed claws. water sprayed upwards, landing at his paws and cleansing them of the maroon they wore. another series of sobs occurred, choking noises coming from claws throat. a howling sound escaped his maw, sounding much like a wounded animal. tiger dug his claws into the earth. his tears collected coloured dye from her coat, scattering it on the muddy earth. sugarear. she needed sugarear. a glimmer of hope briefly could be felt before tiger suppressed it. no! claw shouldn't /need/ help. help was the reason he was so /useless/. which meant it also was the reason that made him let down bossman! but bossman didn't know that. nobody knew that. they all saw him as stupid, weak and just /smiley/. tiger would have to show them. show /bossman/! he would not let his dad down. a stone cold look with form on his features as tiger brushed the tears from his face. stupid mini morpho. smile folk. loser. kid. tiger would prove them /all/ wrong. a manic grin split claws face in two. it was familiar. the same grin bossman had worn to his death. tiger stretched her glassy eyes wide, forcing a laugh as he ran off. blood trailed behind her, mingled with various wildflower dyes. the twoleg place was near. claw could smell it. now was the perfect opportunity to show her skills! the soft and cushiony earth had become hard and rock-like. twoleg monsters darted past, their paws catching in mud and water. tiger continued to make her way forwards, eyes darting left and right to scout out a perfect victim. grass sprung up from between the cracks in the twoleg pavement, some even flowering with pansies. tiger hadn't really explored the twoleg place before. she knew it was where all the soft animals lived though. a loud barking sound came to his attention and the ginger tabby whirled around. a slender dog was standing a couple fox lengths from claw. it seemed on the smaller side, tiger supposed perfect target. "bossman. this is for you! i'll show you how great i am! trust me dad! trust me!!" tiger yowled, hovering a paw over her chest. with a bound, tiger darted forwards, unsheathing his claws and springing at the hound. it was bigger than it had seemed. its jaws were the size of tiggy's head. it jerked forwards as he scrambled backwards, paws catching on each other as she attempted to evade its gnashing canines. her heart fluttered in her chest, but tiger couldn't be scared. claw was better than this! surely!
tiger brought his claws down on its muzzle and the dog let out a sickeningly loud growl, causing his bones to quiver. fear retracted her paws slowly as the dog advanced, its hot breath making tiger's eyes sting. he went for the hound's paw, attempting fasten claws fangs. this twoleg dog was too quick though. the world shrunk beneath tiger's paws as she was hoisted into the air by claws tail and flung into a death shake. this could not really be happening. it wasn't supposed to happen this way! tiger was supposed to defeat the dog, prove himself! claws plan had faltered and now she'd probably die. a pitch yowl sounded from the fence beside him. tiger wasn't able to glance up to see who it was. she couldn't even move her own eyes because of the pain. tiggy didn't know what to compare it to. aburptly, the hound would break away, letting out a yelp of sorts. the ground surged towards claw and she slammed into it with a sickeningly audible thud. instinctively, she'd scramble to her mitts. a pair of rounded blue orbs stared back at her. it was a kittypet. "hey, hey hey! its okay, i'm here to help." a kittypet had saved him. he was useless. always would be. tiger was worse than a kittypet. she let out a spluttering, baring her teeth at the felis. "stay away from me!" tiger snarled, tears brewing in claws eyes. the kittypet advanced, reaching out a paw. oh how the tom wanted to accept his help. she couldn't though. help had made her useless. "i said stay away!" tiger hollered, slashing the felis's nose and dashing off. a trail of blood dappled the path behind her as she ran. tiger's run was more of a stumble however, lopsided and clumsy. looming trees began to sprout up alongside tiger as the domestic town became the untamed woodlands, claws home. the earth grew soft underfoot, cushioned with moss and decay. this was too painful. tiger had to find somewhere to rest. a damp cardboard box came to the tom's attention. it was situated at the roots of a tall oak tree. tiggy crawled inside, allowing it to cradle claw while she allowed herself to sleep. if she could. memories of bossman flooded his head, making tiger curl into a tight ball. her lips quivered slightly, claws brow furrowing. tiger wished his dad was here. he wished he could have made him proud. she wasn't ready to lose him. tears rolled down his golden furred cheeks at the thought. claw still needed his guidance and his love that she always longed for. it was all her fault, and she could never make it up to him tiger had failed bossman and there was no fixing that. [ erp ] i'll share a project soon to summarise and explain what happens next!
