UPDATES 9/23/16: holy moly 3 months. changed somethings due to scratch update 6/29/16:hh hhHH (dont ask) 6/20/16: Fixed some stuff, removed some stupid stuff. (Add your own music, please! O_O) Hello! Welcome to my first tutorial on clean lineart. The program that I used was FireAlpaca, but I'm sure that ALL drawing programs have Protect Alpha and Clipping. These two options will make you have completely clean lineart, and no more colors outside your lines! This is a very simple tutorial, since I just added pictures and black squares... -- This tutorial is mainly for beginners, so there isn't so many things you have to do to get clean lineart. Hopefully this will not make you waste a few years of messy drawings like I did. :p -- I might make some changes here and there.
Questions you might ask: Q: Why is my art so pixelly? A: Scratch can only make 960x720 pictures perfect, otherwise it might make it shrink and pixellated. I use 960x720 for my drawings then. Though despite that, changing canvas sizes is a good way to train your art skills. Q: What does the 'Lock' option next to 'Clipping' do? A: The Lock option locks the layer you choose, making you unable to draw over or change anything on that layer. It's probably used if you have a lot of layers you're not using anymore, especially unnamed ones. IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF LAYERS you can MERGE down your layers (question 3) to make it easier to stay on one layer and not get all your layers for super tiny details get mixed up. Q: How do I merge down layers? A: edit: for some reason I didn't answer this?? xD At the bottom of your layers toolbar, you can see a bunch of file icons. Two files with an arrow pointing down is usually the merging option. Q: Where are the layers? A: The Layers section is supposedly on the right, unless you moved it or closed it. If you closed it, just go to the Layers tab on the FireAlpaca bar at the top and check the Layers option, which is the second to last option. ~~Will add more questions later~~
