Instructions

Adjust the initial amount of Red - sick - fish (0 - 50) and Doctors (0 - 10) - green squids- with a vaccine you want. The amount of Initial Yellow fish created is determined by 50 - # Initial Red Fish. Thus, the initial amount of total fish (population) should always be 50. Doctors are not included in these numbers. Press the Green flag to run the simulation. Press d to see lists of the data from the simulation. The press d again to hide them. . Red fish have the disease and will die after a certain amount of time. Yellow fish are healthy and don't have the disease. They can get the disease from a Red fish and will turn Red when they get it - thus becoming contagious too. Yellow fish can only get the vaccine from the Doctor(s) - green squid(s) - and will turn Green when they get it. Green fish are healthy and received the vaccine from the doctor and cannot get sick and die. (Note: A yellow fish cannot get the vaccine from a green fish.)

Description

Analyzing and graphing the data You can export (download) the data in each list to your computer (put the mouse cursor over the list and right click.) The data in the list will the list will be saved as a .txt file. You can copy and past the data from the .txt file into a spreadsheet to time series graph of the data over time. (I use Excel and graph as a scatter plot connecting points with straight lines - without markers.)
