This project generates a user chosen number of circles (1-500) with random centers and radii on the condition that none will be overlapping. It is interesting to note that with the passage of time it takes longer and longer to place newer circles that will fit. Space bar will reveal the circle Count and the total number of Trials. It is an interesting exercise to try to find the relationship between the variables: Count and Trials.
The idea is inspired by the Apollonian gasket, circle-packing, and space filling curves of Peano and Hilbert. Thanks to EpicGuy369 Ford Circles project for an easier circles coloring idea via pen.
