The shop is on the bottom right corner of the stage. Click that, click "Needs" and then click on the Training Center. The Axe yard is free. You shouldn't have to worry about a thing from there. When You have troops, press a to attack a camp. It won't let you attack unless you have troops. Press t while over the shelter to train troops. While in battle, place the ten flares anywhere in the camp, then place your troops on the gravel trail.
