Tw/mild gore I have animated a section of my all-time-favorite spoken word poem; To This Day. It’s powerful and depressing, and horribly enough, I relate to it. The other day someone called me and my friend a slur. When I got home I flopped down and listened to this poem, which presents many themes, one of which is that you are not what people call you. I encourage you to listen to the entire poem, not just this section, because it is truly powerful.
