It’s officially been a whole year of Khelkah. Man, how time flies. Well, it’s been a year of Khelkah’s reboot. The idea of Khelkah is over five years old, and Khelkah’s first version is three years old. But it’s been a whole year since the really successful version of Khelkah was shared. It’s been a whole year since January 24 2024, when I re-introduced Khelkah. It’s been a whole year since I picked my act up, stopped moping, and actually did something about this world that I love. When I first shared the Khelkah Main Project, I was, admittedly, afraid. Original Khelkah had been such a harsh failure, and I was worried that the second version would just prove that I wouldn’t ever find the community I sought. Yet, despite all of my dreary expectations, I found you guys, and you guys found me. All of that drawing, coding, designing, and tedious message-checking paid off. I made this project to thank every one of you for participating in Khelkah. You’ve all made me feel at home on Scratch. I don’t have many people I know irl that care about Khelkah the way you guys do, or, the way I do. I’ve exceeded one-year-ago-me’s wildest dreams, and I want you all to know how happy I am for that. And this isn’t just about Khelkah, this is also about everyone I’ve inspired. Only a year in, and I’m seeing other planet MYOs springing up like crazy. I love every single one I see, because not only am I achieving things myself, but I’m encouraging others to do the same thing, and I love that. It’s something I never thought I’d ever do, ever. So, thank all of you. From people with one KMYOE to people with thirty, I’m grateful for each one. Thank you for putting your guys’ time and effort and care into my creations, you make me feel like I could be somebody. Now, on from the sappy stuff, I’ll be working on a Khelkah annual overview! Hopefully, it’ll be shared next week or the week after! It’ll include an adopt, special thank-yous, and highlights of the year! It’ll also feature any Khelkah anniversary art any of you make (remix this project with the art to have it featured!)
