Some notes about this EXE before we get started: - The story of this EXE takes place in an alternate timeline. The details of this timeline are not entirely specificied, however, the game that this EXE inhabits is an alternate version of "Sonic Jam", in which, rather than being a compilation, is its very own 2D-3D hybrid Sonic game. - He is technically a retake/reimagining of the original Sonic.EXE and/or JoeDoughBoi's X, while also being his own thing as well. This is important to keep in mind when reading this story. Many, many millennia ago, a being was born around a still developing planet later known as "Earth". This being would come to be known as the matriarch, or "Mother". Not much is known about Mother, other than the fact that she was stuck in the far regions of the orbit of Planet Earth. She attracted many different creatures to her, one of these would later come to be known as Xerxes, or better known as "X", but that story will develop later. She treated these creatures as her own children. Mother orbited the planet for many, many years. Seeing many things occur, such as the development of life, which quickly became intelligent. She began to grow a distaste for one of these flavors of life, "humans", they called themselves. To her, humans embodied all the things she considered sin. Greed, Envy, Gluttony, Pride, Lust, all the bad traits in the book. They constantly fought and killed their own kind, often times over seemingly insignificant things. The more she looked down upon earth, the more she grew to hate its terrorizers. All good things come to an end, however, and it seemed as if Mother was dying, slowly and painfully. Many of her children began to leave her for various reasons. To find a new host, to go off on their own and potentially be a host, etcetera. This is where Xerxes, sorry, "X" comes back into play. X, like his siblings, determined that he had to leave Mother behind, as hard as it was for him, as he had grown attached to his "Mother". Unlike many of his siblings, however, Mother would not leave his memory, and her ideals had become his goal. X, like his Mother, believed that mankind was an impurity, and needed to be destroyed, or at least purged and the remnants of man "corrected". So, he quickly left his mother behind in order to find a suitable place to begin. And he had found it. X had attached himself to a new video game titled "Sonic Jam", releasing for the "Sega Saturn". He had slowly begun to grow an obsession with its main character, Sonic the Hedgehog. To him, he embodied everything he stood for, which was standing against the impurities of man. Well, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.. (This is where I'm going to leave it for now, I hope you guys enjoyed! Maybe I'll add more to this story later when I develop the character more and stuff, but for now, thats all folks! :D)
