Massive thanks to @lemonjuice— for hosting the DMC/DTA! Seriously, if I hadn’t joined so late, I would enter for everything— no kidding! Here’s my entry for Bauble! I did add a few personal details to the design (bauble hair decor, loosened sleeves with embroidery). This took almost seven hours (I stayed up till 2am the other night working on it T-T) Besides the late nights working on this piece, I found this to be probably the most fun I’ve had doing a DTAE! Further info: 1) The finished piece! 2-3) Disclaimer, because I forgot to screenshot stuff— and also the reason behind the low res screenshots 4) First sketch. 5) Final sketch (I hit the 1hr mark here T-T) 6) Base colour 7) Skin renderingggggg 8) Hair gradient and hair baubles got some rendering 9) Finished skin and added vitiligo, added dimension to the hair. 10) The beginning of the dress 11) more dress rendering 12) even more dress rendering, added colour blending mode to add subtle colour variations throughout. 13) Background got new colour, shape of sleeves— corset lace got added. 14) Added form to the sleeves. 15) Floral embroidery on the sleeves, as well as a subtle colour blending mode on sleeves. 16) rough background was added. 17) Christmas treeeeeee 18) Ornaments on the tree 19) added a floating bauble effect (I didn’t like it all that much) 20) rendered ornaments on the tree. 21) Removed the floating bauble effect, more rendering. 22) Finished piece— but lower resolution than number one.
