“Sun.. SUNTOOTH!” The she-cat cried out, her claws unsheathed and digging deep into the golden-pelted cat’s neck. She wasn’t trying to hurt her brother, but he was trying to hurt her, and her vision began to get darker, her limbs feeling more heavier. The cold breeze was engulfing her body, snowflakes danced around as Suntooth’s teeth clamped down into her throat. Her eyes darted around, but soon the panicked rush through her brain began to ease, as the figure of a tabby she-cat over, exclaiming, “SUNTOOTH, SKYTAIL’S BACK, STOP-!” The cold faded away, her eyelids became lighter- she felt… nothing, every part of her body was as light as a feather. Skytail stood up, her legs a little wobbly as she regained her composure. She glanced around the environment around her, a starry field, silhouettes of glowing cats floating around in glee. Manic glee. The fur on her pelt bristled, recoiling back as she saw these figures approach at such a speed she couldn’t have imagined to be possible, possibly because life had been so slow paced. “Skytail! The warrior of disgrace, disgraced by Starclan and disgraced by your own clan. I would be ashamed if I were you.” A voice boomed, his voice completely recognizable by the condescending tone and his gestures, Foxsnap- or, Foxstar. There was a massive, gaping hole in his chest, where she clawed the life out of him. The she-car hissed under her breath, her ears flattening over her head. “A family of disgraces, I may say!” He gloated, seemingly too happy about her seeming passing. “Watch it, Foxsnap.” Skytail’s ears perked up, as she glanced to another silhouette, to a she-cat with an elegant, long tail and large ears, like hers. Her mother, real mother’s voice was younger than the last time she heard from her- she gulped down her guilt, remembering how she had came to pass. She had hoped her mother didn’t believe in Starclan, so she wouldn’t have had to see her.. but it wasn’t the case. “Sparrowfeather..” The she-cat dipped her head respectfully and guiltily as she padded toward her daughter. Skytail sat down, making herself seem smaller than the cats around her. Sparrowfeather was silent, flicking her tail for a moment- before letting out an understanding sigh. “I don’t blame you, you never knew me and I never knew you.” The silhouette lifted up Skytail’s chin so the two she-cats could look eye to eye- and for the first time in so long, she felt.. warmth, the love she had for a mother. “I’m sorry…” She breathed, blinking several times to stop the tears welling up in her eyes to fall. Then, Sparrowfeather backed away, camouflaging with the silhouettes of angry Starclan cats, those who died at her paws, parts of their bodies missing from the damage she caused. Skytail stayed silent, as they began yowling and demanding punishments, bloodthirsty. But she stood still, some, she felt nothing for. Some, she did. But she stayed still and watched as they pointed and let their rage get the better of them. She would stay defiant, hate plagued her expression. “Enough. You cannot judge a cat you do not know the motives of, the life, anything. This is why the cats who are alive have banished and disgraced US. Give Skytail a fair trial, allow yourselves to see her point of view.” A smaller silhouette demanded, floating in front of Skytail defensively- she didn’t know who this was, but judging by their size, they were probably a kit, they talked really sophisticated for a kit, though. There were yowls in protest- but the next moment Skytail blinked, She opened her eyes, warmth filling her body as mewls sounded around her, from her siblings. Her vision was dark, but many scents filled her nose, and her mother’s tongue scraped against the fur on her head lovingly. The she-kit crawled closer into her short fur, yawning and falling silent.

Description

Art and writing by Gray-Toady, TrAppEd still exists, but I’m probably moving it to another platform- I don’t think I’m comfortable sharing it on Scratch, I haven’t been on it for a while, but hearing that they’re integrating AI is scary, also the moderation is uh- concerning, right now, I think I’ll take my chances with a place where I can find the audience right for me. Thanks for the support here, though- I’ll try to be active, and share backrooms content, but for now, yipe- I don’t know what platform, exactly- because that would take a long process to even make another account somewhere with permission n’ stuff, but yeah. I have a team now, too! So- yaaaay- Happy New Year guys, I’m mentally deteriorating.
