as xcenic said, this is not meant to rank or criticize animators toasted cheese: one of the most unique styles at the moment, toasted uses a more chaotic style that has longer scenes. he has many well thought out and longer transitions, however he also uses more simple zoom transitions that help carry the flow of the animation. part of his style is the art, which primarily consists of many different simple shapes mixed with his easily recognizable characters. toasted blends cinematic shots with more traditional scratch amv type scenes that makes for very cool and pretty amvs. he always has something going on in the background, which ive noticed always moves along with the music. he is also insanely good with character animation, making for a truly amazing amv style void: very versatile in terms of pace of his amvs. he can animate both fast and slower songs very well. he uses a lot of character animation, often with the characters showing some type of body language that goes along with the music. this helps bring the song to life and is one of the most unique ways of doing lyric representation ive seen on this website. the characters are the main focus of most scenes, normally taking up most of the screen or having things like arrows pointing to them. void uses very nice looking backgrounds that suit the characters and overall vibe of the scene/amv very well. there isnt a single empty scene in his amvs, always keeping it interesting. off frame: makes pretty fast-paced amvs with quicker scenes. his style involves lots of character animation, often using lipsync or doing some action in sync with the music. the expressions of the characters are amazing and very detailed. he uses lots of different camera angles, giving his characters and objects more depth, and also making his amvs more cinematic. his transitions are always amazing and well planned. off-frames art in his amvs is great, with well designed characters, good lighting and cool looking backgrounds often made with text or the pen tool. rey: one of the pioneers of the low fps animations, he always provides a cool aesthetic within his amvs. the low fps suits his slower song selection very well. his artwork is simple but very good, often combining simple squares and circles with the pen tool making flowers, stars etc. his art style also involves a lot of shapes that are only an outline, making for a cool, unique effect. the way he uses shapes in his backgrounds and moves them around to make his transitions is great, it also makes everything flow well and makes it feel very natural (since the backgrounds turn into the transitions). overall, the vibe, song selection, fps choice and artwork all help to make reys style truly amazing. hes definitely influenced most of the modern amv community. i would do more but im not really tryna write more
