Here's an example for my Warrior cats AU contest: (Notice, this is an example, not to enter the contest. Do not steal) {This will be used in the project and in the 'instructions' to guide you.} {Make sure to write a summary or story of your AU} {If you want, you can do themed things, in this example, the theme is sailors.} {For this example, I will write a summary about the AU. When writing an AU, it cannot be the same exact thing as what actually happens.} In this AU, Thrushpelt gets rejected by Bluestar(Bluefur at the time) He feels heartbroken and decides to leave his clan when his clanmates find out Bluefur is expecting kits. Although his clanmates thought Thrushpelt was the father because of them knowing he liked Bluefur, Thrushpelt knew he wasn't the biological father due to Bluefur never showing him any affection. Thrushpelt migrates towards to ocean(Sundrown place) and meets a twoleg who owns a ship. The twolegs business is low, and might go out of business. Understanding this, Thrushpelt helps draw more attention to the sailors boat, making more people wanna meet Thrushpelt. The captain decides to keep Thrushpelt, naming him Sailor. But Thrushpelt likes to think of himself as his old name. Although he is far away from the clans, he still misses Bluefur, and wishes that she chose him instead. One day while sailing, he finds the body of a kit who looks drowned. Thrushpelt saves the kit, finding out its Mosskit, one of Bluestar's kits. Thrushpelt takes care of Mosskit, finally accepting that he will never be mates with Bluefur, and changes his name to Sailor. The twoleg names Mosskit into Salt. Sailor ends up dying trying to prevent a fire from killing the Captain and Salt. He dies due to his injuries from being burned. StarClan allows him to join them due to his warrior like actions, instead of threatening Bluefur's secret and murdering her kits, he chooses to leave his clan, and ends up saving Mosskit from a horrible death. Salt ends up dying of old age by the time the clans are settled into their new territory. She also joins StarClan and becomes mates with Sailor.
