If you were sent this link in the form of an invite, I think your art is really cool/I think you’re a generally awesome person! The same goes for anyone reading this <3 |[what is a “dtiys”?]| “DTIYS” stands for Draw This In Your Style! It’s pretty much exactly how it sounds; the host provides an art piece that the contestants redraw in their own unique art style! |[rules]| And of course, the rules!! Ignoring any of these rules will result in a warning, break too many and you’ll end up disqualified! — this really should be a given, but don’t be a jerk! Y’all should know what I mean by this — submit your entry in the form of a remix! — do not change the species when making an entry!! — you can change the layout/positioning, but please keep it as similar as you can! — don’t guilt trip (ex. “my art is so bad, I’ll never win”/“I worked way harder on this than anyone else, I deserve to win!!) — use common sense. If you see a loophole that obviously isn’t meant to exist, don’t exploit it. — c0deword$ are “fire”, “abstract”, “wing(s)”, and “lemon”. Hide 2 of them in the desc of your entry! — this should also be a given, but entries must be ENTIRELY your art!! No tracing, bases, recoloring, stealing, ai (ugh I hate ai art), etc.!!!! — again, common sense y’all. |[art piece notes]| — the colors coming out of the pen are abstract! Feel free to interpret them however you want, so long as it’s scratch appropriate! — ref sheet: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1117440076 — the teal/mint colors you’ll see on the ref are replaced with the colors if the ace spectrum flag! Same with the abstract colors! — I’ve included a flat version alongside the rendered version if you prefer to use a color picker for the colors. — the blindfold is totally a metaphor, it doesn’t only exist because I messed up the eyes 11 times who gave you that idea |[judging/prizes]| I’ll probably choose 1—3 winners, and 3—5 runner-ups (in no particular order) depending on the amount of entries, as well as some honorable mentions if enough people join. Judging won’t be too serious, this is more of an art prompt than a contest, and it’s really just for fun. That being said, the prizes aren’t going to be huge, as rewards aren’t what art is for. Winners get a choice between: — 1 medium quality custom (no humanoids) — 1 full of a character of your choice (with shading and lighting) — 2 chibi (sorta) fulls of your characters — 1 fully rendered pfp (only one because for some reason I find them really hard) Runner ups get a choice between: — 1 unshaded halfbody — 1 flat bust/pfp HBs (if I choose any) get a doodle of a character of their choice
