"Normally, you see light/colours/shapes when the light passes through your lens to the retina. It falls on the rods and cones and the energy of the photons causes chemical reactions there that can be interpreted through the optical nerves to the brain. When you rub your eyes or press them harder, the pressure in the eyeball causes a different type of chemical reaction in the rods/cones due to the pressure. These reactions are also interpreted by the brain, and show as flickering yellow/dark interlocking thin triangles (well, for me anyway) - these are similar to the shapes I see when I have a migraine event ‘light show’ - these are lime/violet interlocking thin triangles and are caused by a rogue chemical reaction, often caused by disc damage by-products in the back/neck (well, for me). So basically, for your question, the pressure you are applying to your eyeballs is triggering a simple chemical reaction in the cells in the retina that would not normally happen… this is also what happens when you have very high blood pressure and a similar reaction is triggered in the backs of the eyes… where you see spots moving around…" -Pete Mulford, Eye Expert
I don't even see the color black, literally using black as i don't like see white either.
