Oh. My. God. That was funkin epic Def a favorite in my book If you somehow didn't read the title, this contains many spoilers. So if you haven't watched it yet, click away. If you've seen the movie already or don't care for spoilers, feel free to stay. press space to see the next image and text btw. these are a few of my reactions to moments in a nutshell. Dude, everything about the movie was spectacular to me. With all I'm about to say, I may be glazing, but idrc at this point. - When Shadow escaped Prison Island and went to Tokyo, not only did his skating over the water look amazing, but the beat they played made it so tuff❗️ - Sonic thinking they were going tubing even tho they were literally in the woods was so silly - The goal plate reference was nice to see in the movie adaptation again (they also did it in the Knuckles show) - Ain’t no way Knuckles and Tails were hitting Sonic with the waiting animation after the race ☠️ ☠️ - “Talk about low-budget flights! No food or movies... We're outta here.” I loved the reference sm :] - In the scene where Team Sonic and Shadow first met, I spotted 3 references. Shadow walking up the flipped car and Sonic and Shadow asking why they look like each other references Sonic Adventure 2. Sonic trying to stand but falling down after Shadow’s assault is a reference to Shadow the Hedgehog. Oh, how you spoil us sometimes SEGA. - A little disappointing that chao aren’t an actual species but it’s still neat that they made some sort of appearance in the movie. It was a pretty smart choice tho ngl. - Everything about Sonic and Shadow’s first fight/chase (and the others) was PERFECT :DD It was so awesome - The giant crab was a badass way for the crabmeat badnik to be in the movie - Ivo’s (Eggman) room and lifestyle were so nasty, dawg - lmao Jim Carrey breaking the fourth wall had most of the theater laughing - When Maddie brought up Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles’ faces while going through their plan, it showed their icons from Sonic Mania. Sonic Mania is one of my favorite Sonic games so I liked that reference. - I’m not sure if Tails spinning around with Sonic in the air and then launching him was also a Sonic Mania reference, but either way, it was neat. - I find it an interesting yet a good choice to have the ark be underground instead of in space. - Man, Maria and Shadow were so silly and wholesome together :( - I was surprised Maria didn’t get shot and shocked she got hit by an explosion instead - Knuckles being like a big brother was nice to see - The game-accurate Eggman suits looked sweet - Pretty sad how Eggman was actually happy to finally be with a part of his family but Gerald didn’t care - Sonic wanting revenge and to use the master emerald out of anger and Knuckles refusing to give it to him while Tails tries to deescalate the situation in the back was tense, man. - I really liked how each time they showed Sonic going super they referenced his transformation in the classic games. - Speaking of Super Sonic, Sonic absolutely pulled up on Shadow. Brodie got jumped ☠️ - Super Sonic and Super Shadow’s fight scene was straight hands!! Especially when Sonic literally sent Shadow to the moon with that punch. That was insane. - Shadow saying “Do it! Finish it! I’m right here!” when Sonic was probably going to kill him was kinda sad when I thought about it. - When Gerald used that jetpack thing to catch up to Eggman, he was in the same pose as one of Eggman’s poses from those Sonic Adventure artworks. - When Sonic and Shadow teamed up, went super together, and "Live and Learn" started playing I got so hyped and started kicking my feet a little. - Before fighting a fleet of robots, Sonic and Shadow dapped up and went super (with "Live and Learn" playing). We’ve hit peak. - "Don't tell me you have a catchphrase!" lol it was nice to see Shadow lighten up :) - I was so surprised to see Shadow use Doom Spears. I did not expect to see him using any doom powers in the movie. - Gerald died like a bug bro :sob: - HE PISSED ON THE MOON❗️ - Eggman’s final announcement during his and Shadow’s sacrifice was genuinely sad. The difference in impact of “If I can’t rule the world, I might as well save it” from the trailer compared to the actual scene was big and unexpected. It just hit so different with the new context. - R.I.P Robotnik and sayonara Shadow the hedgehog… - I wonder if this was the last time we get to see Agent Stone. I hope not; he was an entertaining guy and an interesting addition as Eggman’s assistant. - Metal Sonic was really cool to see but why did he have a gun :sob: - Amy’s here now and she looks great!!! :D - My brother and I really expected to see Silver in the end credits scene, but seeing that Shadow was still alive was nice to see, too. this was so cool, I'm gonna work on my realistic retake on Shadow as soon as I can
