Since 1970, Manchuria had been Communist. Overthrowing the previous monarchy in a swift coup, nothing could be done to prevent it under the brutal government. The previous economic crash added onto their power struggle with the military, has made the government widely unpopular. Little info has come out aside from the fighting. Several skirmishes have been reported in the country. The streets in the country are completely empty. In eastern parts of the country, the military has begun capturing towns. Leading military officials have not been seen for weeks. The president also stepped down from his position. The Communist government has made no official statements on the matter, in contrast to the military. The military government clearly intends on implementing a stratocracy. The police sided with the Communist government, and 10% of the military as well. These few remaining troops have taken to training hastily-formed militias to resist the military. The Socialists still control the air force and logistics. The military forces rebelled mostly because of poor wages and morale. Fighting has been abysmal, the Socialists failed to retake any ground, only winning little encounters. Morale among the Communists is awful. Most of their conscripts are very poorly trained.
