It is the first pastaOS release to be based on Micro Consen. pastaOS Khao Soi may or may not be compatible with most Sen Yai apps, but it may or may not be compatible with some Micro Consen apps. pastaOS Khao Soi is under the BSD 2-clause license, unlike normal pastaOS versions since pastaOS Capellini that use the Pear eLicense (pastaOS Khao Soi is versioned 18.0, while pastaOS Chicken Carbonara is versioned pastaOS 17.0). pastaOS Khao Soi has been made into the main pastaOS version and into a rolling release due to criticisms of pastaOS Chicken Carbonara and older. Make sure to accept all security warnings by clicking "allow" or else pastaOS won't work. Make sure to pause the project with the pause button when leaving the project if you keep seeing messages saying that the project namespace must be set. If you see a bigger stage, just click the green flag as it will go back to the default size due to that.
