On December 29, 2024, JeJu airlines 737 was on a schedhuled flight from Bangkok Thailand to Muan airport in South Korea when on an approach to runway 09 there was a bird strike. The pilots decided for an emergency landing. At 9:03 Am, the 15 year old Boeing 737 belly-landed late on the runway, overran it and collided with a concrete barrier, exploding and leaving only 2 crew members surviving, in the tail of the plane.
