January 23rd, 1989. The brakes on C.R.R. No. 348 "Lynda" failed while delivering a goods train to the Western Gas Company, by the time the signalman at the switch to the branch line was made aware of the runaway Lynda had already passed by. The signalman was luckily able to alert the workman at the Western Gas Company who were able to quickly leave the facility in a brakevan pulled by their fireless steam engine (WGC No. 1 "Terry") just in time. Lynda's crew suffered various injuries but were able to make a full recovery. Lynda would end up getting a rebuild due to the amount of damage the fire caused.
Small fact about Lynda, when purchased by the C.R.R. she kept her LBSC number (348) @TheWobblyBlueEngine Whoever made the fire effect tutorial Music: Disturbed - The Sound Of Silence Just some more C.R.R. lore
