Hi! Sorry this came out so late, I had trouble coming out with the backstory. This is a small loop animation of Almond flying (sorry that it isn't that good, this is my first time animating using mostly code). By pressing the "show" button, you can access two drawings of Almond (these are much older than the animation) Backstory: Almond suspected that there had to be more to him than met the eye. Or at least he thought. Almond was found at the doorstep of a house as a hatchling, and was taken in by his owners and raised like any other kitten. But he wasn't completely cat. He was half eagle as well. He was not the same as the other cats, so he might be special. One day, he would find out more about his origin, which would decide whether he was special or not. But that was an adventure for another day. ************************************************************** Almond was content in this house, and had no intention of leaving. The other cats were friendly to him, although they often rolled their eyes when he brought up the topic on his origin. This day, Almond woke up bright and early. His best friend, Smoky, was turning 3 months old! He proceeded to congratulate Smoky, but he was no where to be seen. At least no where in the room they were all kept in. Then, Almond heard mewling from somewhere outside the room. Smoky! Almond ran toward the sound, but he was blocked by the cat gate. With no other choice, he tried flapping his wings. He had never flown before, but perhaps luck was on his side that day. With a jolt, Almond realised he was hovering in the air! He was flying! He flew over the gate and followed the sound to the exit of the house. He did not remember ever being here before. Peeking into the room, he saw Smoky, along with several other kittens, trapped in a basket, surrounded by several smaller humans. One small human picked up a cat with a familiar grey pelt. Smoky! Before Almond could react, the cat was whisked out into the streets before disappearing from view. Smoky was gone. Grief overwhelmed Almond as before long, all the kittens were gone. Then, it hit him. All the kittens that were taken were three months old. HE was a few days shy of three months old! Which meant in a few days time, he would meet the same fate. He did not know what would happen to him, but he did not want to find out. Almond barged into the room, shocking his owners, and flew out of the doorway into the open sky. He did not stop until he grew tired and landed on a grass patch, in the middle of no where. He was free. But what now? He was all alone, with no other creature in sight. Then he remembered his dream of finding out about his origin. Almond knew there was more to him than met the eye. And as for finding his origin, he must as well start now. (In case it's hard to understand, Smoky was given away to children, along with all the other twelve-week-old kittens)
