Instructions

Switch to turbo mode (shift-click the green flag) Click 'Generate' to generate a new small 3d terrain Click 'Redraw' to redraw the terrain, in case you modified the settings. Right now, this will remove any rotations you made. Click 'Rotate' to rotate the world counter-clockwise 90 degrees Click 'Map' to generate a new large random world, and make a map of the area, with different colors representing different elevations. This can take a very long time. Click the Hide Controls button to show/hide the controls and see anything underneath. Adjust the 'Layer' variable to "slice" the terrain to see different layers (changes applied when you click redraw) Adjust the 'Season' variable to change the season (1=winter, 2=spring, 3=summer, 4=fall) (changes applied when you click redraw) The climate variable can't be changed, but it shows how warm the world is (from -16 to 79, in no particular measurement). It changes with the season. Everything else is randomized.

Description

This version is outdated. Go to my profile to see the latest version. This is a 3d terrain generator I'm working on that is made entirely up of cubes. Please leave suggestions in the comments, and any bugs that you see. Note: I'm NOT trying to remake Minecraft! My only goal is to get a good and eventually realistic terrain generator. Known bugs: Floating leaves sometimes appear. Terrain on map is sometimes so high or low in elevation that it isn't on the key. The redraw button removes rotations Added in Alpha 11: Map feature Improved height-map generator to look more realistic on a map Prepared project for larger terrains. Added Hide/Show Controls button to fix the problem of the controls covering up the terrain Features that might come in later versions: Speed up and make more efficient scripts Erosion underwater (less grass and dirt, more sand, rocks, and clay) Sand near water Smaller blocks, larger terrains A more realistic height-map generator Taller and more realistic trees, and maybe more types More types of plants A seed for the random number generator Rocks above ground Rivers and waterfalls More realistic blocks
