I think I’ll do one of these at the end of every Winter Break! Merry extremely late Christmas and Happy New Year! Here’s your gift from me! I’ve got a lot to say, but I think I’ll start with this: I’m starting to take my improvement with art very seriously. I’m trying to really find my art style and what works best for my techniques. And with that, came a huge art dump I am thrilled to share with you all. But first I am going to discuss precisely what I am trying to hone and improve. I have been trying to improve my shading skills, so I’ve tried to study from shading guides and other various tutorials to improve my skills with it. You can see in my various pieces that they are fully shaded. I am also updating my designing skills. I am changing and redesigning a lot of my characters. This is meant to help with my variety in drawing, making sure the species of characters can be recognized easily, simply, accurately, and also because there are many lore changes taking place. You may be thinking: Lore changes? Accuracy? What are you talking about? I will answer that in a minute, but first I must tell you this. I was not planning on revealing this for a long time, but because I simply do not want to keep you all from this much longer I will tell you: I am working on a brand-new story known as The Spirit Phone Records. The reason I am telling you all this is because of one thing: Conspiracy. I have not posted another chapter of it for 6 months, when Conspiracy chapters typically take me 2-3 to make. I feel extremely petty for getting everyone’s hopes up, starting a story, and making them wait so long for a continuation all to say this: Conspiracy is cancelled. As much as I love the characters and their stories, it has been cancelled for a number of reasons. 1. Accuracy. Conspiracy is meant to be a comic based upon Lemon Demon’s album Spirit Phone, and despite the fact it is staged as a Lemon Demon comic, if you saw the rest of the plot, it goes WAYYYYYYY off the rails from being a Spirit Phone comic, the only similarities it shares are the protagonists being a living arcade cabinet and a conspiracy theorist. 2. The plot is VERY VERY flaky and makes little to no sense. I went into Conspiracy way too ambitiously. Though you all have only seen the first two chapters, what was yet to come was about to become very nonsensical. I got up to scripting the 20th chapter, and the rest was kept all in my head. Not the best place to store things, because the human brain is capable of something that a google document is not: forgetting. I forgot where the story was going to go and there are a bunch of holes in my memory of the Conspiracy Plot Summary. I stored the Summary nowhere but my thoughts, and in retrospect that was an awful idea. That’s literally what a document is for: storing things, so you don’t forget them. For the creators of the designs of Cable and Saffron, I will let you know that I will not let their designs go to waste. Cable will become a new sona, and Saffron will be used in the upcoming story: The Spirit Phone Records. The Spirit Phone Records is essentially a reboot of Conspiracy, with new characters, a new world, a new plot. It contains things that Conspiracy did not: Stronger accuracy to Spirit Phone and a more sturdy plot. I will also show some of the characters down below, they will be referred to by song instead of by name to avoid spoilers. The story is still a very big WIP right now, I will not tell you what I plan to do with it, as even I am not certain about its final format. One final thing. You may have noticed that I have not been very active here at all, and I will explain why. I regret to announce that I have decided to leave. By August this year, I will be going onto high school, where my focus needs to be on my academic journey and my career ambitions. Now, don’t get concerned. I will not be leaving until high school starts. That is thankfully a very long way away, and it’ll give me enough time to spend more time with you all on Scratch. I also have more work coming down the pipeline that I am thrilled to share with you all, hopefully I will finish these projects before August 2025.
