Late Christmas special,,,,,technically a little holiday art dump Tap or press space First drawing Pretty fun to try a different style!! The style was inspired by older cereal box advertisements lmao (specifically the ones for Frosted Flakes). I don’t think it’s specifically 70s since I think the ads I based them off of are from the 50s or 60s. I just put 1974 in the title since it’s 2024 and the characters shown would have been married by then. Although, Bumblebee (the yellow dragon) died in 1975, so this would have been their last holiday season together ☠️ (the dragons don’t actually celebrate Christmas but shhhh it’s cute) Second doodle dump 1. Burrito is a jerk and would probably set Granite on fire for fun while pretending to decorate him with lights. 2. His wife, Lightning, is terrified of fire and would immediately put it out (she shouldn’t blow the fire extinguisher right in his face but whatever she’s panicking 3. They don’t actually celebrate Christmas in canon (they have some sort of winter holiday but idk what it would be) yet) but a theoretical gingerbread dragon I designed. I actually did make them as gingerbread cookies before though. 4.-5. Since Granite is a cannibal, I thought it would be funny if I drew him eating them. I didn’t want to make it super obvious at first, but then I remember that I almost never post about how Ember hates Granite and is disgusted with the fact that he is a cannibal. Therefore, the drawing made little sense,,,,,it just kind of looked like she was disgusted by him eating a cookie. I also didn’t color the blood bc I don’t want to have to censor this for like a teeny bit of blood. 6. I tried to draw Granite being sad over his late wife, Bumblebee, in the top left corner but idk if it gets the point across. She died on December 22 L moment (he spent the holidays alone grieving over his dead wife <3) 7. Burrito likes knitting, so if they celebrated Christmas, he would probably knit sweaters for his family as an excuse to knit (raptorians do wear clothing sometimes if the weather is too cold or if it signals what job they have/what group they are in. Smaller accessories or capes are more fashion oriented, but they still don’t tend to wear capes). 8. Burrito likes to give Granite clocks from his clock company for holidays because it annoys Granite (he has like—SO many clocks from Burrito now. He does NOT want more). For the third pic, I was just getting a feel for the style I wanted to do for the first drawing. I forgot how evil I made Rutherine look haha (the spikey black, white, and red dragon). She is a murderer though soooooo… Ash also looks weird in that one drawing Also Ember’s such a little hater /hj
