Soo… I redesigned these guys again.. But not that much so it’s fine!! Plus I wanted to do them all fancy with lineart and everything. Also! New characters! The one on the left is Talia and the one on the right is Skye. They belong in the same world as my girls but like, a different place, which is why their outfits are more futuristic or cyberpunky. My current idea for their world is that there are three cities/kingdoms, one that accepts and allows magic, one that denies and bans magic completely, and one which allows magic, but only under the jurisdiction of a government-run organisation. This is the one my magical girls are from. But it’s been sealed off from the rest of the world for thousands of years by some kind of ancient magitech that its inhabitants don’t know about. I’m not sure why yet, so ideas would be appreciated! There are other places in this world, but these three are where most of the story takes place. Anyways, back to Talia and Syke. Skye can control tech, like making it move and stuff. She also has prosthetic legs which she uses her magic to control, so she can run fast and kick things really hard. Talia’s power I’m not completely sure about, but at the moment I think she can manipulate light, so she can shoot it at people to stun them or even refract the light in different ways to make herself invisible. They come from the kingdom that accepts magic, and they both go to some kind of magitech university or something. I thought it would be cool to line up the newest designs next to the older ones, they don’t fit that great but oh well. It’s fun to see how much their designs have improved. Notes on the designs: -Katie is inspired by traditional magical girls and some influences from decora and skater girl fashion. -Isla has some influences from sportswear, although most of it doesn’t come across in the final design. -Ruby is based on aerial gymnastics outfits and loosely inspired by Indian fashion. -Liah (also her name is Liah now, I felt like a change) is another one without a clear influence, but she is inspired by fantasy armour and dnd rouge characters. -Sara is also very inspired by fantasy armour and, I have to admit, has a lot of influences from she-ra lol. -Talia and Syke are based on futurewear and techwear fashion.
