Well, here is a cool animation, not just handy for learning, but also, it has many details. the size is definetly not correct, not to mention not to scale, cuz' the sun is over 100x bigger than the earth by diameter, but here, the sun is only 3x bigger by diameter. so it's not to scale. note that the orbits are ~slightly~ elliptical, if you take a it has a superslight deviation from an exact circle. the deviation: 147.1 million km at it's shortest 152.1 million km at it's longest also note, that it is not very elliptical like the real thing. By timewise, it is super-duper accurate. notice how the moon takes 12-13 rounds around the earth while the earth completes one orbit around the sun.
