The Wilson Mall, in Wilson, North Carolina, was first opened in 1964 as an outdoor shopping center known as the Parkwood Center. It's anchor stores were Roses, JCPenney and Winn-Dixie. It was enclosed in 1979 and renamed the Parkwood Mall. Later on the mall acquired a Sears anchor. The mall was renamed Wilson Mall in 2005 and the Sears closed in 2010. The AMC movie theater at the mall closed in 2013 and the mall itself closed that year. Finally, the JcPenney closed in 2020, making 100% of the mall completely abandoned. The mall still exists today but is in very bad condition.
