She wasn't willing to change her gender to please anyone, not her dynasty or even her parents. Despite the ideals of her dynasty, she loved being a girl, and instead of changing to fit the desires of someone else, she was just going to good at what she did and prove that she was worth it. She convinced the healer to make her his paw. She knew that males were typically favored for the role but she did manage to convince them to take her in because she was smart and capable. After constantly pestering the Healer, she got her way. Her mentor viewed her as annoying and stubborn for this reason. Despite her mentor being a saintist to start off, Panthercharm's personality had managed to turn her mentor into a neutralist, not favoring either side.
