[Read-along] What If Qibli Accepted Darkstalker's Offer The sky loomed, it was dark as they reached the cave. Qibli shuffled his talons nervously. Had Darkstalker taken him here to k!ll him? If he had, then Darkstalker was smarter than he thought. But when Darkstalker spoke, there wasnt a moment of hesitation. 'So, Qibli.' Darkstalker boomed. 'I have an offer... one I hope you can't refuse.' And just /what/ this offer was, Qibli had no idea. ' That I can't refuse?' He echoed. ' I know that many of you are... wary, of me. Especially Moon.' '/Moon/' Qibli whispered back, He'd do anything for her. Her glowing emerald scales, her soft silver teardrop, the way her scales so intricately intertwined... 'I know that I'd make much better decisions with you by my side, Qibli. We could rule the world together, create a peaceful utopia' 'What are you getting at?' 'Qibli, how would you like to be an animus.' Thoughts rushed through his head. An animus? He could protect Moon, he could defend Thorn, everyone he loved would be safe. And with, without another thought, he blurted out. 'Yes!' It hadnt occured to him then what might have occured after. Not long after, they reached the rest of the Jade Winglet. Qibli crashed down, grabbing Moon tightly. 'Qibli! What happened! Qibli?' Qibli grinned, and gazed at her in the eyes. 'Moon, I'm an animus now' 'What!?' 'I have animus /magic/' The world was... different, after that moment. The tribes had been united... excepting the Icewings, of whom had not been saved. Every dragon was happy, thanks to their spells... but... as time grew on, Qibli was increasingly more and more concerned for Darkstalker's soul... and his own. And he was right to be, because the avoidance of that possibility caused the end of dragonkind.
