So some of you, especially my friends on this site, might recall me mentioning her in some of my projects, and if you know me on the other communication platform, you might know I'm obsessed with vinegaroons. This individual you see here is why. She was my first arachnid pet and is the one who started my interest in these amazing animals. Unfortunately, she passed away yesterday. I did see this coming though. If any of you have experience with keeping inverts, you'd know that when they do naturally pass, it can be a terrible thing to watch. They slowly lose appetite and become sluggish, and sometimes, little parts just fall off. Last week she stopped eating, which was unusual. Some of you may think that she's just a bug or something, but to me, she was like a close friend. She shaped me into who I am today. She introduced me to a whole new world. While I have experienced losses before, this one was worse because she meant so much to me. Out of all the 20 or so animals I have, she was my favorite. She was always curious and so much fun to interact with. While I did get some new Thailand vinegaroons recently, they'll never replace her. The experiences we had together and the valuable things I learned from her will forever be cherished. She lived a good long life, at least 8 years, possibly even longer. While she is gone, her legacy will live on through her child. With that said, farewell my friend, and may you rest in peace.
