Recently, on scratch and other websites I have seen people talking about how their LGBTQ+, or that they are a part of some other group, or they post a video/project. Then I see someone comment saying something like "I think that being LGBTQ+ is gross, but you can't go and attack me, because it's my opinion." Or "I don't like gay people, it's just my opinion." People think just because they have an opinion, they can go out of their way to comment on anything related to the topic and say stuff like that. No. It's not. Everybody has opinions, and it's okay to have and share them. But there are places to not share your opinion. Opinions can be hurtful, like saying something about how you h@te anyone who is LGBTQ+. "Oh I'm not being trans/homophobic, it's just my opinion." Yes, you can be. Don't openly share things like this to members of LGPTQ+, it makes it feel like you are making them feel bad about themselves. Yes, you cannot support LGBTQ+ or other groups. Nobody is focusing you to. But please, don't put it like that. Adding words like "Gross" or "Ugly" to your sentences when you are talking about it. It makes it seem like you are the type of person who will attack this people. You can politely say "I don't support ____." Or "This does not follow with my values." This also falls in opinions on books and TV shows or movies. You can not like or think it's bad. But don't going commenting on projects about how they like it. It's really unnecessary. You can say your values, your beliefs, your opinions. But don't make it sound rude. Don't go out of your way to let everybody in the whole world know that "My opinion is that this is wrong!" Please, just be more respectful. Don't be snobby, rude or hurtful towards others. Sorry, I may have not put it in the best way, but gosh I needed to get this off my chest. People who say this just make me feel so ANGRY. Thank you for reading my little rant. :')
