Just a little thing I drew, but there is a story behind it. My dad picked me up from school and me and my sisters were wondering what our next teachers will be. My sister Mira was talking about how she might get my other sister's second grade teacher. My dad had an expressionless look on his face and said, "You won't." Me and my sisters exchanged confused glances. "Why...?" I asked. Dad looked back at us and said, "We're moving." There were cries of protests from my sisters and I had a sorrowful look on my face. "I-is there a reason why we're moving?" my other sister, (Now don't be alarmed, it's just a name.) Isis asked. My dad never answered the question and just kept driving. I could hear Mira struggling not to sob, and for the rest of the car trip to home, I wondered. Why? I came to school the next day and waited for class. My friend, Emily, turned around and saw my face. "What's wrong...?" she asked. I looked up and said, "W-we're moving." Emily's eyes widened and said, "Why?" I just answered, "I dunno." Our teacher came and we were allowed to go into class. We did our math and language arts until we had free time to do what we wanted. Emily was writing something on a red sheet of paper and was telling my other friend, McKenna something, but I couldn't hear what. She came over to me looking surprised and said, "You're moving?" I nodded, and she said, "Aw! I'll miss you... where are you moving?" I forgot, and it took me a few moments to figure out. Finally, I answered, "I forgot where. I think it's somewhere across the river..." The news spread and while we were dancing I saw 2 red sheets of paper on my desk, and another person handed me another. Surprised, I took a break from the dance and looked at the papers said: "Dear Elizabeth, I am giving you a warm fuzzy because you are one of my best friends. You are so thoughtful and caring. I'll miss you! :'( Thank you! It means a lot. Warmly, Emily" I read the other 2 and put them somewhere safe. I winked at Emily, Addison and Angela and they nodded. It was time for science and I looked up at the whiteboard. 6 more days until summer break. I frowned and did my work. The rest of the day I was alert and wondering what would happen these last 6 days. The next day was yearbook signing day. Our teacher picked us up from the computer lab and we went outside. I went to the other side of the school and me and my friend Haley saw each other. We shouted and ran towards each other and collided. We lost balance and fell onto the concrete, laughing. We signed each other's yearbooks and we signed some more. That day came and went, pretty fast. We zoomed through our math sheets and our teacher reminded us it was almost field day. She gave us sheets that had different activities on them. They were: Matball Volleyball Kickball Bingo Karaoke/Dance Party Walking Track Relay Race I knew exactly what I wanted and labeled them from 1-5. We went to art class and our art teacher gave us our finished clay masks. Everyone complemented mine and said it was way better then their masks. I shrugged and said theirs were way better than mine. When we came to science class, there were high school kids that came to teach us more about the circulatory system. One of them had heart rate monitors and the others had a lamb heart. We tested our heart beat when we were resting and after running in place for 30 seconds. Then we got to put our fingers in an artery and a vein. That was probably the most exciting part. Finally Friday came. 3 days until school was out. I sighed and did the sheets. We came to music class and got our recorders out, some people had to take school recorders, but it wasn't a big deal. We practiced and my group earned our orange belt for playing 'Merrily We Roll Along". A few kids were sent out for purposely making their recorders squeak and being extremely rude. One kid, LaShya, said, "He better leave me alone or I'll slap him all the way to Africa." Some kids laughed, and I smiled. Music class was done and we packed our bags. I thought how the last day of school would be. I'll miss you...
