made by me, @dat_1guy decided to make this for those who didn't see this guy or his lore yet This is Cat.scr (his real name is Scalcattus). I originally planned for him to be a Scratch Cat version of Xenophanes, then of 2011x, but I decided he should be his own character. But I'd still say he's like the 2011x of scratch exes. The idea behind him is he's an eerie and mischievous impersonator of the infamous Scratch Cat. Lore: A seemingly harmless Scratch addon called “Scratch+” was released one day by an unknown user. The addon enhanced the site for those who downloaded it by providing fun features and customizations to ultimately improve the user’s experience. It was a huge success. But users soon began to notice strange glitches. Words were scrambled into gibberish, profile data was being tampered with, and the Scratch Cat sprite would show up distorted. It would be revealed that this addon wasn’t only a helpful tool, but also a troll done by the creator; really a big ol’ prank. But then, due to some unknown error, the addon would unknowingly unleash a force not even the creator could control. This force messed with the very fabric of the site for all users who had the addon. Text across scratch was not only mixed into gibberish but formed chilling quotes/messages. Distorted audio and disturbing, twisted versions of costumes would suddenly pop up in users’ backpack storage. If a user uninstalled the addon or deactivated it, it was as if it would reinstall and reactivate itself. The ST took notice of these issues. They tried to stop it, but to little avail. At this point, whenever a user would open up a new project, the scratch cat sprite would show up with completely black eyes, a crooked smile, and dark fur. This addon made a corrupted Scratch Cat who practically haunted the platform. For the thousands who had unfortunately downloaded this addon, the website began to break down to the point it could not be accessed. Finally, ST and even Google stepped in to finally shut down this chaos. All remaining damage was resolved in the following patch of the scratch website… or was it? About his design: He has messy fur and claws to represent the unhingedness of his origin and the danger of his character. The gray liquid dripping from his eyes and mouth was chosen just cus I thought it'd look cool in his design and when he reveals himself lol. The glowing blue eyes were to contrast against sonic.exe (his eyes are a warm color and his fur is a cool color but cat.scr is the opposite). The lower half of his face has little white because in the earliest design I did of him, I forgot to also color his face with white and it just kinda stuck. Fun fact: I feel like he’d be the type of guy to make you fall for a “what’s that over there” and start clowning you like it’s the funniest thing ever that's all I got
